The Golden Filter
I first heard The Golden Filter on the Fashen mixtape and knew they will bring more gems to this world. The Golden Filter are an electronic duo based in New York. Australian lead singer Penelope grew up near Byron Bay, while disco and analogue synth programmer Stephen is from Ohio, USA. They produced their first single, Solid Gold, in July 2008 and it went on to be released early 2009 on the Dummy Records label. They have a simple but elegant website made by UselotEverywhere where you can download their upcomming single: Thunderbird. It’s a light, muscular and wild disco song, and it basically sums up everything we love about pop music.
