Debruit – Spatio Temporel EP

I don’t know to call it bad or superb timing from Débruit and his label Civil Music. But while the whole world is living in winter wonderland, Débruit leads us on a diverse and engaging journey through an incredible array of rhythms and influences from the sunny global village. His new EP Spatio Temporel feels like a sweaty bus ride from the local fish market to a upper class mid-summer cocktail party.

Armed with his synths he’s takes his beats to Africa via LA, France, Persia and the future. Combining African Yoruba, Nigerian Highlife, Persian Funk, Congolese Electronics, Vocoded Ouest Coast vocals and international Thoroughbred Synths with Débruit’s jack-knifing riddims, booby trapped syncopation and bass heavy collisions.

For me “Nigeria What?” is the undisputed banger of the EP, and I won’t be surprised when it will receive heavy rotation on the dancefloors. Look out for the 3D artwork, Videos and branding by RainbowMonkey which are being incorporated into the Live show.
